This season, I was delighted to be invited to showcase my collection at Manchester fashion week.
I was part of the “We are Manchester” showcase on the Saturday and presented my spring/summer collection, which can be viewed here.
My friends from Vauhaus came to help out and also co-hosted the aftershow party, which I will write about in my next post.
Amber paired the mirror leggings and crop top with her horsebird varsity for a cool day time look while flyering and helping dress the models.
Jen and Hazel, my personally selected models, ready for the show!
Backstage shots by Natalie Rose Wilde.
The flower playsuit is one of my favourite pieces in the range and features over 100 hand-made flowers. Special thanks to my intern, Lindsay for helping me make them.
The models were provided by PHA models.
Catwalk photos by the official MCRFW photographer.
I walked on at the end to take my bow, something that was a first for me as most of my shows don’t take this format.
For information or to shop the collection, please head to the online store.
This week I’m inspired by arch shapes (which will feature in my next collection) and 3D flower backdrops. I have a few projects different versions of this would be good for but I think I need to wait till I have £100 to spend on nice card in order to get the right results.
I’m hoping to draw up some more inspired illustrations of my A/W 14 collection and figure out where to find some good hanging pots to add plants to my sunny window.
I’m also planning a new hair tutorial featuring braids. I have a few styles I’ve learned to do well and my Marie Antoinette hair tutorial is still my most viewed post on here.
I feel like spring is on the way so I’m looking at my current obsessions through rose-tinted glasses. This week I’m exploring natural themes and planning fashion shows. I have 3 coming up and they’re all going to be great.
This week I love witchy-chic style, paper craft and harmonising colour combos.
